    Description

    The three-year project Metafotografia is a survey of contemporary Italian photography. The Metafotografia project explores the ways of making and thinking about images and how those ways are changing today, within and beyond the devices that produce them. The Metafotografia project has been curated by Sara Benaglia e Mauro Zanchi (BACO) and presented in different venues such as Palazzo della Misercordia Maggiore, Bergamo, Italy and the Palazzo delle Esposizioni, Rome, Italy.

    For this third exhibition of the Metafotografia project, I have presented an artwork titled 9 meters away realised in 2019 that reflects the use of contemporary technologies to circumvent censorship. More in detail, the artwork shows how Airdrop, the Apple's function available on iPhones, have been used to share, anonymously, and without authorisation of the receiver, information and contents.
