Activity: Other activityExhibition of creative works (not for CDCF T61)

Description

A curatorial exhibition, initiated by Academy of Visual Arts, HKBU and Janet Fong as PI, CITYA is an alternative type of large-scale international art exchange program and exhibition between six global cities including Hong Kong, Beijing, Tallinn, Rome, San Francisco, and Macau for the first CITYA which was just held from 17 Sep to 16 Nov 2021. It is a long-term project that will occur every three to four years to build collaborations between international art institutions and organizations through both virtual and physical exhibitions. It is also a curatorial project that invites artists to express their thoughts through their practices within the theme of ‘City as a medium’ virtually and physcially. It explores how artists interpret the same theme in the post-pandemic period while simultaneously confronting social injustice.
