Description
Engaging students in authentic research studies that incorporate course contents enhance students’ participation in knowledge creation and their ownership in learning. The research experience and skills acquired can be applied to various scenarios as well as professional paths, providing lifelong benefits for students. By introducing a research project within the course curriculum, students gain firsthand taste and insights into the process of knowledge generation.In this talk, the speaker will share experience in designing and implementing course-based research. Past successful class projects will be showcased as illustrations for participants. By the end of the talk, participants will be able to describe key elements in adopting a course-based research approach and identify opportunities to incorporate student research elements into learning activities within their course contexts.
