As a Principal Investigator, Janet Fong Man Yee in collaboration with local artist/ art critic Chan Sai-lok this programme of the Art Talk Series, which was an extension activity of the “New Horizons: Ways of Seeing Hong Kong Art in the 80s and 90s” Exhibition, co-curated by guest curator Janet Fong and the HKMoA. To arouse public interest in the culture and art history of Hong Kong and facilitate discussions between people from different art sectors, this series of talks invited over 20 local experienced and emerging artists, curators, founders of art organisations, art administrators and researchers from different generations, including Ellen Pau, Chan Yuk-keung, May Fung, Choi Yan Chi, founders and curators of Parasite and Nunaheduo, Lazarus Chan and Kyle Chung, to conduct a series of art talks about Hong Kong Art in 80s and 90s and to open up a discussion platform for the development of the local art scene.
