Description

Over 150 Art colleges and institutions throughout Asia are invited to nominate a maximum of three students per academic year based upon exceptional achievements, outstanding efforts, and significant contributions to the field. Entries will be assessed by a panel of expert judges, and a total of 10 selected works will be displayed in a group exhibition at a prestigious arts venue in Hong Kong.

1st stage: to explore current state of the art research into alternative digital methods applicable to online competition application and assessments during the global pandemic, as the award panelists are unable to travel to participating countries to see the actual artworks submitted.

2nd stage: to involve an important longitudinal study of Arts Futures participants and prize winners. In order to track the overall effectiveness and reach of award, the study will measure the impact the competition has on the further education and career trajectories of participating artists. This will provide crucial insights in to how such competitions can be further developed and improved over time.
