Description
The "Advanced Musical Interface Design and IMU-Driven Composition" program offers a detailed exploration of IMU-based contemporary musical interfaces and related mapping and compositional techniques. Beginning with a foundational study of interface theory, the course examines musical interface design with a particular emphasis on the innovative MetaBow system. Participants will explore the application of data mapping as a key element in compositional processes in Max/MSP through relevant case studies. The program culminates in practical mini projects, providing students with an opportunity to apply the acquired theoretical knowledge in a practical context. This program is designed to equip participants with advanced skills broadening their creative scope and enhancing their academic and professional trajectories in the compositional integration of music technology.Period | 15 Jul 2024 → 19 Jul 2024 |
