Description
The ACT Festival, named after the initials of Art & Creative Technology, is a fusion of art and technology. Since its inception in 2015, this festival has grown into an international event, now in its 9th edition, featuring 16 teams from 15 countries. The theme for ACT Festival 2024 is “What If?: Perspectives on Envisioning the Future,” inspired by Isaac Asimov’s 1952 short story, What If.. In the story, the protagonist imagines paths not taken and, with the aid of technology, glimpses the possibilities and outcomes of different lives. The question “What if..” reflects a psychological response to uncertainty, ultimately urging us to embrace our anxieties and cherish the value of reality.
ACT Festival 2024 focuses on the message of What If.., a story published 70 years ago, exploring the complex interplay between the uncertainties we face today and the hopes we have for a technological future, all through the lens of art.
