HKBU’s Academy of Film organised an engaging dialogue with acclaimed filmmaker Ms Ann Hui during a special symposium with the creative team of "The Way We Talk", a film that received multiple nominations at the 43rd Hong Kong Film Awards!Mr Adam Wong, Associate Professor of Practice at the Academy of Film and the Director of "The Way We Talk", expressed his deep admiration for Ms Hui’s significant impact, leading to a moving conversation about filmmaking, storytelling, and the humanistic caring in movies. To enhance inclusivity, the event offered sign language interpretation, allowing everyone to fully participate in the discussion.
Exploring from the craft of visual storytelling to the emotional depth of film, the dialogue was truly inspiring for everyone in the audience. A heartfelt thanks to Ms Hui, Mr Wong, actors Mr Marco Ng and Mr Yau Hok-sau, and cinematographer Mr Leung Ming-kai for sharing their valuable perspectives!
